Happy Birthday Sam!!

Okay, so this is a little late, Sam's first birthday was on July 26th. Since we were in Mahood (the family cabin) at the time we had his party early on July 12th. Here are a few pictures...

Haircut!! For real this time...

Today we went to see Auntie Cynthia for a haircut. It took me a little bit to get used to the new do, he looks like a different kid! Anyway, here are a few pictures.

11 Months!!!

This month has been really fun with Sam. He got a couple of new teeth and he has started walking! He still prefers to crawl, but I am sure it won't be long before he is off and running. Here are a few pictures of him over this last month and from today, his 11 month photo shoot. I also submitted his picture in a crazy hair casting call, hopefully he will be chosen for the special project! Enjoy!

10 Months!

I didn't post any pictures from Sam's 9 month photo shoot, my apologies.  Here are a few that were taken this last month.  He is officially on the move, he pulls himself up on everything and loves to walk around and around the furniture.  I don't think it will be long before he is taking his first steps!!  With Summer coming Christian and I decided to buy Sam some sunglasses.  The first day we bought them he wore them around the mall and didn't take them off for over an hour!  They don't last that long anymore but I was able to get a few pictures with him wearing them.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to everyone.  We had a good Easter, spent time with family, ate good food and remembered and praised God for the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross.

My mom bought the kids matching outfits, we weren't able to get a good shot of them because we left the photo shoot too late, Nicole and I are going to have the fake one later this week.  However, here are a few the we did get.

 Despite having a really bad cold, Abby was her usual happy self.

Auntie Amanda gave Sam this singing/dancing duck.  At first Sam wasn't too sure about it but once he got used to it he was dancing right along.  Here is a little clip.

8 Months!

I have been prompted by my mom to add more pictures of Sam.  Here are a few from his 8 month photo shoot.

He is starting to pull himself up onto the furniture.  I have to admit, I helped him this time so I could get the picture.

He is officially mobile.  He mostly does the army crawl but sometimes goes up on all fours.  I am sure it won't be long before that is his preferred mode of transportation.

I can't get over how fast he is growing.  What a cutie!!

7 Months!!

Sam turned 7 months last Thursday.  I am so happy to have him in my life.  He brings such joy and laughter into our home everyday.  When we are out, he always has smiles for everyone and sometimes even a little giggle.

I'd say Christian did a pretty good job.  We only trimmed the sides, we left the top.  He is so handsome.

6 Months!!

I can't believe that Sam is already 6 months old!  He has changed so much and will continue to change.  Time really does fly.  Here are a few photos that have been taken since we got home.

Home Sweet Home

We made it home safe and sound on Saturday.  The trip home went really well.  Sam was a real trooper, he got a little upset by the end, but who can blame him.  Being home is wonderful.

We ended up leaving Ontario on December 31st with 6 inches of fresh snow on the ground.  When we got on the highway the truck in front of us went into the ditch!  Fortunately we made it through the bad weather pretty quickly and didn't have any weather issues until Arizona.  I know, Arizona of all places!  We ended up travelling only from one town to the next because of the road conditions, an inch of ice on the highway and cars, trucks and transport trucks flying off the road in all directions.  The next day was much better and we took a detour to check out the Grand Canyon.  It was amazing.  The remainder of the trip went somewhat smoothly.  We ended up spending a couple of extra days at Paul and Judy Steiger's (Andy's parents) because the I-5 was closed, it was nice to be in their home and spend time with them.
